The Practice of Internal Sustainability
Welcome to February, my friends.
I want to start by checking in with you.
If you made a few small changes at the beginning of the year, how are they going for you now?
How have you met the challenges of doing something new?
Are you noticing shifts that feel sustainable, or are there still places where it’s hard to keep the rhythm?
I’ve been right there with you.
I’ve made some small changes too—and I’ve moved through the whole arc: making excuses, overdoing it, pulling back, starting again. And what I keep coming back to is this simple truth:
What sustains me isn’t big pushes.
It’s small, incremental changes.
I’m starting to notice a better relationship with my food.
A better relationship with my activity.
And, maybe most importantly, better relationships with my friends and my family.
The challenges are still there—oh yes.
But so is our capacity to meet them.
And one thing I’ve noticed fills my tank more than almost anything else?
Play.
Finding joy.
Laughing.
Dancing.
Singing.
Which brings me to a little invitation.
This Friday, February 6 at 6:45 PM, we’re gathering for a playful, easygoing night at Temecula Yoga Collective.
We’ll have karaoke, open poetry readings, music, and one shared intention:
to be playful.
Standing room only? That can be fantastic.
Sitting room only? Also fantastic.
Either way, the goal is simple—connection, laughter, and joy.
I hope to see many of you there.
And whether you join us in person or in spirit, may this February be filled with softness, ease, and a little more play.
With love,
Danny
