Feeling Stronger Everyday - Inch by Inch

As we step into a new year, it’s easy to feel the pressure to change everything at once. Big goals. Big resolutions. Big bites.

Lately, I’ve been choosing something quieter — inch by inch movement.

I want you to know I’m right in this with you. I’m making small, imperfect, human choices too. One of mine has been around food — choosing a bit more intention, a bit more nourishment, and letting that be enough for now. Not every meal. Not every day. Just enough to build momentum.

What I’m noticing is this: when a choice is small enough to keep, it actually begins to change how I feel. More grounded. Better digestion. A steadier energy. Nothing dramatic — just a subtle sense of support in the body and mind.

These choices won’t fix everything overnight. But they do set us up — individually and as families — for a little more strength, a little more resilience.

A short contemplation for this week:

Before one small choice — food, rest, movement, breath — pause and ask:
“Does this choice move me one inch closer to care?”
If the answer is yes, that’s enough.

I’d love to hear from you.

What is one small movement you’re considering this year — for yourself or for your family?

If you’d like, reply to this email. I read every response, and when it feels supportive, I’m happy to offer gentle reflection or guidance.

Because as we grow stronger — inch by inch —
our families grow stronger.
our relationships grow stronger.
our communities grow stronger.

One of my favorite songs says it simply:
Feeling stronger every day.

Let me know —
how are you feeling stronger, inch by inch?

With care,
